Our final round at Donington Park was supported by Teng Tools. The workshop and tool specialist provided our early entry rewards and also a stack of wicked prizes to keep the kid’s busy over the race weekend.
The weather wasn’t kind to us and it rained almost non-stop throughout the weekend but that didn’t dampen our spirits. The competition to seal the Championships was red hot – in particular the TZ250s of Rich Grinling and Gary Vines as they lined up for the final race on equal points.
The GP Originals collective of riders, sponsors and supporters all pulled together to create an incredible spread of complimentary food and drinks throughout Saturday. There are so many people to list but we would like to thank everyone for their superb effort in making this event such a success despite the inclement weather! This united effort is exactly why GP Originals has rapidly grown into such a vibrant and popular Series.
Ron and Mary from Maxton Suspension were enjoying the sights and sounds from their early days of professional racing. They kindly donated the tea and coffee alongside the Saarinen-esque tea urn and biscuits provided and immaculately maintained by Steve Carthy Racing.
Competitive kids
The Teng Tools honours were hard fought by our competitive under-12s. Bespoke GP Originals themed colouring-in sheets designed by Spyre Limited gave them inspiration to decorate fairings, draw bikes racing down Craner Curves and designer crash helmets.
They were rewarded by Toni and her Thundersport GB team with a podium presentation, complete with interviews. Our youngest entrant was just a year old!
